Nashville-based musician Stephen Wilson Jr. has just disclosed the dates for his maiden headline tour. The tour will take place during the spring and summer and features a series of acoustic performances. In a testament to his rapidly growing popularity, concerts in New York City, Birmingham, Louisville, and Minneapolis sold out within hours of tickets becoming available. Wilson Jr.'s announcement follows hot on the heels of another significant one, where he will tour alongside HARDY. In addition, Wilson Jr. enjoyed an especially significant performance on January 19th, a sold-out show in his hometown of Nashville at the EXIT/IN, where The Tennessean described him as the next iconoclastic leader of the country’s rock revival. Complete tour details can be found below or at stephenwilsonjrmusic.com.

Stephen Wilson Jr. brought out his first double album, søn of Dad, last year, earning numerous year-end acknowledgments from Rolling Stone, Whiskey Riff, Wide Open Country, Grady Smith, and reaching the top spot on Holler and All Country News’ lists. His emotionally profound track Father’s Son also found its way to Billboard’s Best Country Songs of 2023. The album, featuring 22 songs, pays homage to Stephen Wilson Sr. five years after his passing. It showcases the versatile Stephen Wilson Jr. – a microbiology and chemistry graduate from Middle Tennessee State University, a boxer guided by his dad, who was a two-time Indiana State Golden Gloves Champion, a talented songwriter, and, most importantly, a son.

“The most existential release of the year goes to relative newcomer Stephen Wilson Jr….if you listen closely, you’ll hear the work of a master craftsman versed in all manners of pop music.” – Rolling Stone

Accompanying the album release, Wilson Jr. also produced a string of acoustic videos including popular songs such as Cuckoo, with over 6.5 million views on Instagram, Year To Be Young (1994) which boasts 3.6 million views, and All The Wars From Now On garnering more than one million views. This viral response boosted album sales, landing søn of Dad in the top 20 on the iTunes All Genre chart. Moreover, the album’s opening track The Devil was chosen for the finale of episode 4, season 7 of the acclaimed SHOWTIME hit series Billions. Meanwhile, Holler from the Holler and its powerful official music video is making waves on the global independent film festival scene, garnering numerous awards across ten different festivals worldwide.

“…Wilson Jr. offers the kind of nuanced storytelling that has helped make stars of artists like Eric Church and Chris Stapleton, and he has the vocal prowess to back it up.

An extremely promising debut.” – Billboard
