HelloGoodbye and The Early November co-headline at The Argo, a night of nostalgia

The night kicked off at The Argo in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, a brand-new 700-capacity music and entertainment venue just outside of Milwaukee that opened in December 2025 inside the beautifully renovated historic Fox Bay Theater. With its intimate concert hall, balcony views, and welcoming bar and lounge areas, The Argo has quickly become a standout spot for both local talent and national touring acts, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable night of live music.

I’ve had the song “Here (In Your Arms)” as one of my favorite songs for as long as I can remember, from my early teen years, so when HelloGoodbye announced they were coming to a venue near me, I knew I could not miss out on this show. I caught The Early November opening for New Found Glory about seven years ago and was blown away by their performance. I hadn’t seen them since. This co-headliner was going to be amazing, especially knowing that both bands were celebrating twenty years of one of their earlier albums. Album plays have been big lately, especially with bands from the early 00’s commemorating their works that have been out at least twenty years, definitely a time to recognize these big acts that have been staples in people’s lives.

The first band to start off the night was named Punchline. I had never heard of them til then, and they apparently played at The Rave/Eagles Club way back when. Alongside these two legends, it sounded like this band had a big backing for their history as well. Even though I didn’t like that the stage was filled with mic stands, I think they sometimes take away from a good performance. This band really got the energy started. There were people in the room screaming along to every word in each song. It’s such a fun thing to see happen at shows, especially during the sets that I am least familiar with.

Up next was HelloGoodbye. It was such a chaotic and unexpected set with surprises for every song. He did an album play-through along with other songs for fun. Right before he really kicked into “Here (In Your Arms),” he joked and asked if anyone in the room even remembered the song. Of course, duh. They even broke out the ukulele for a song! At some point, a pool inflatable shaped like an avocado was tossed out into the crowd, and it was thrown all around the room. It kept making its way back to the stage and hitting the mic stand, to which vocalist Forrest Kline smacked it back, saying to keep it away from him. String lights were given to the crowd, and the energy was high throughout their entire set. I cannot believe that I got to witness this magical set. 10/10 would recommend lol.

Finally, it was time for The Early November. Vocalist Ace Enders came out on stage alone, and there was a single spotlight for the first song. It was meant to be a different moment for the room as he said how he wanted the night to be more than just the one album. Yes, the recognition of twenty years for The Mother, The Mechanic, and The Path, but it was also a night of community together for music. Their set was filled with raw moments that unleashed a lot of emotion for the band and crowd, and there was a lot of jumping for joy; everything was unmatched.

The tour is still ongoing, so don’t miss out and hit up the nearest show to you. You will not regret it because it’s a night of love and nostalgia, who can say no to that?
