Elizabeth Nichols is on a string of tour dates for her first headlining tour, I Don’t Kiss and Tell… I Kiss and Tour. Opening for Liz was the talented Soren Anderson. He played an acoustic set filled with originals. He had all of the Gen Z girls in the crowd swooning with his curly hair and piercing eyes. You would never be able to tell that this is his first tour ever with the way he caught the attention of everyone in the room with just vocals and a guitar. If you like Hudson Westbrook, I recommend checking out Soren Anderson. His latest single “Forgettin’” is out now.

Elizabeth came out in a black-and-white polka-dotted sundress and signature headband. She opened her set with “Little Birds,” a little tune about gossip in a small town. The added whistles give it a mischievous melody. She treated the crowd to “Hand Me Down Genes,” an unreleased song about the traits she inherited (or didn’t) from her parents. The performance offered a glimpse of her more personal songwriting and left fans with something new to look forward to. Despite a few technical difficulties with her in-ear monitors, Nichols kept the show entertaining. The hiccups added some unexpected humor, while her talented crew worked behind the scenes to resolve the issues.

My personal favorite song of the night was “Nice Girl.” The songwriting reminded me of a college apartment or fraternity house where barstools double as nightstands, and the television is the only thing that looks put together, with the out-of-place sorority girls roaming the halls. Nichols has a knack for turning everyday relationship drama into clever, snarky country songs. Her lyrics cover everything from dumb boys and breakups to gossip and toxic relationships, all delivered with a healthy dose of humor. Fans of Megan Moroney and Taylor Swift will appreciate her storytelling, catchy hooks, and unapologetic attitude.

The standout moment came during fan favorite “Paul Revere,” when stagehand Kevin Kirby stepped out to sing backup vocals. Kirby committed fully to the role of a gossiping girl, knowing every word and nailing the accompanying hand gestures. His performance had the crowd embracing the song’s mission of warning every girl in town when her man is acting up. The moment perfectly captured what makes Nichols so appealing: her music celebrates female friendship, shared relationship struggles, and the humor in romantic chaos. She comes across as a true girls’ girl, turning messy situations into songs friends can laugh and sing along to together.

She closed the evening with her breakout hit “I Got a New One,” which jokes about how easily it is to replace a boyfriend rather than change yourself. Nichols wrapped up the evening by offering fans a free meet-and-greet, giving concertgoers a chance to connect with the artist behind the music. With her clever wordplay, relatable storytelling, and growing catalog, Elizabeth Nichols is an artist to watch. For fans of modern country with a little extra sass, she's absolutely worth checking out. After all, she may not kiss and tell, but she certainly knows how to turn gossip into a great country song.
