Electrified at The Shed: Black Stone Cherry Delivers a Night to Remember!
Over Memorial Day weekend, The Shed Smokehouse & Juke Joint in Maryville, TN, transformed into a haven for rock enthusiasts. The Kentucky-based band Black Stone Cherry drew a packed crowd to the beloved outdoor venue, proving once again why they remain a force in modern rock.
Opening the evening was Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, a Nashville band known for their gritty blues-rock sound and high-energy performances. Tyler’s scorching guitar solos and raspy vocals, paired with the band’s tight rhythm section, set the tone perfectly. The crowd was locked in and singing along to every song.
As the sky darkened with the threat of a severe thunderstorm and the stage lights came up, Black Stone Cherry wasted no time grabbing the audience’s attention. Their setlist blended fan favorites with new material from their recent album Screamin’ At The Sky. With tracks like “White Trash Millionaire” and “Out of Pocket,” they showcased their signature mix of hard-hitting riffs and introspective lyrics.
Lead singer Chris Robertson reminded the crowd that they’re not just rockers in their own right, but that the band has a history of writing music that’s been picked up by other artists as well, breaking into “Stay,” which was revived in 2013 and made popular by Florida Georgia Line. The energy was electric, and the band’s connection with the crowd was undeniable as always.
The Shed, with its open-air setup and laid-back atmosphere, once again proved to be the perfect setting for a summer rock show. The combination of killer sound, great food, and a scenic mountain backdrop creates a one-of-a-kind experience. All in all, the night was a perfect blend of music, memories, and a Memorial Day celebration, including a moment of silence for our fallen military. Between the soulful grit of Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown and the thunderous performance from Black Stone Cherry, it was a night that concert goers will be talking about for some time.
