In a surprising but well-received move, Matty Mullins—frontman of Memphis May Fire—has stepped in as Anberlin’s lead vocalist for their current tour. With longtime singer Stephen Christian taking a break from the road, Mullins brought his own charisma and vocal prowess to the spotlight. His high-energy presence and reverence for the band's material made for a seamless fit, thrilling longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Mullins delivered a passionate set that included hits like “The Feel Good Drag,” “Paperthin Hymn,” and “A Day Late”. His performance managed to strike a perfect balance between honoring the band’s legacy and injecting fresh intensity into the live show.

The night kicked off with strong support from two beloved acts: The Dangerous Summer and Copeland. The Dangerous Summer, who was a last-minute addition to the night, kicked off with their signature brand of emotionally charged rock while Copeland set a dreamy, emotional tone with their ambient and introspective sound. Together, the openers created the perfect lead-in to Anberlin’s headlining set.

The Masquerade, known for its intimate yet electric atmosphere, proved the ideal backdrop for this celebration. With its raw charm and strong acoustics, the venue amplified the emotional weight of the anniversary while keeping the crowd connected throughout the night.

As Anberlin continues their tour with Mullins handling vocal duties, the band has clearly shown they can evolve without losing the essence that made them a staple of the alternative rock scene. The Atlanta stop was more than a concert—it was a celebration of resilience, reinvention, and the powerful bond between a band and its fans.
